It bears noting that a) this is an ABC Family teen drama, and b) I quit watching it almost a full season ago because HELLO BORING.

But Gods Love Jacob - the pompous windbag who can find a doctoral thesis in anything.

(Really - is this actually a paragraph? With words that actually convey a meaning?)

Basically, it's even more about Noel Kahn than usual, and even less about him than usual, because that's how this show rolls: Alison thought she was playing a trick, but really everybody is A, and everybody murdered everybody, and that is true now, it was true in 2008, it will be true ten years from now when this show is still on and still being all, "But who is A?"

You know the fic I've been calling the Crossbang? The one that pretty much ate last month?

IT'S LIVE!!!!!!! Forty-six thousand words give or take, and some of the greatest artwork any fic could ever hope for (courtesy of nyxocity).

It really hurt getting it into shape, but I'm proud of the finished product. I've been writing so many short stories lately that I was beginning to think I'd lost the knack of the longer tale - that the woman who once completed NaNoWriMo in four days was gone forever.

Gifts are also starting to go up at leveragexchange, and once again we're proving that the caliber of work that community produces is off the charts awesome. If you like Leverage, I would definitely encourage you to follow the posts in this community between now and June 25th.

(I'm also posting gifts for each of this year's participants. Some people might say I'm insane, but really? I needed to write some of those prompts like BURNING!)

And I'm also making my way through my Angst Bingo card. Posted a Law & Order fic this morning, and am already about a third of the way through my "orphans/runaways" prompt. I also have to crow about resisting the siren call of Hurt/Comfort Bingo. My recognition of my personal limits may kick in late, but they do eventually kick in. *g*

1. When you are resorting to auto-tuning the fuck out of Finn's voice, and he's still not a match for Rachel's singing? Time to cut your losses and admit that Kurt is your male lead for vocals.

I promise you - America can handle a gay man singing duets with a straight woman. It's nothing we haven't experienced before.

2. Please stop acting like we care about Rachel and Finn's great love. We don't.

We really, really don't.

Thoughts on my two fandom 'ships...

Well. The final tally is in - nineteen fics in six weeks, ratings ranging from G to HOMG ONE OF THE FILTHIEST NC-17 FICS EVER, word counts from 932 to 5976.

The Roadhouse is *finally* up to date. And as a bonus, nyxocity wrote me Faith/Dean/Eliot NC-17 fic for my belated birthday present! *serious drool*

I'm spent. This week was hard.

(OMG LYNDA CARTER IS ON THE L & O EPISODE I'M WATCHING!)

I want to spend the next two days not thinking about anything work related. It's not going to happen...

...but it's what I want.

I know I did the traditional New Year's Day post, but three (four?) days in now, I have to admit I'm still liking the look of 2011. Still lots of work to do, but I feel like it's possible to do it now and not spend the next 300 some-odd days praying that the next bomb won't detonate quite so close.

The past ten days or so have been round after round of glorious fannish exultation - which admittedly helps. In addition to having Robin home \o/ , I have reaped (or am still reaping...not sure where the Leverageland SS exchange stands at this point) the benefit of some seriously talented people through the Secret Santa exchanges I joined this holiday season. My new LJ layout still makes me grin like the proverbial idiot whenever I see it.

And in the Leverageland exchange, somebody took my request for fanmixes and for a fresh fic take on the Faith/Eliot pairing and blended them like a freakin' Reese Peanut Butter Cup. It is AMAZING - as soon as I get a chance, I'm going to repost it on the Faith_Eliot community.

And I have a firm promise for Faith/Dean/Eliot porn from my favoritist porn writer in the history of EVER!

I've written two stories for Winter_of_Faith, and have one more still to go (even though I missed my last posting date, I'm planning on begging for mercy). And, I took twelve fic prompts over in Provideleverage to coincide with the twelve days of Xmas. Got some amazing prompts (even if most of them were Parker/Eliot), turned out some quite respectable stories...and best of all, am going to make my self-imposed deadline!

Okay it wasn't as consistent as I could have hoped, but tomorrow is the twelfth day, and I will be posting the twelfth fic.

I've also decided not to do the SPN Bigbang. Last year's experience was not exactly inspiring to have me dive back into the ugly end of the SPN fandom pool again. I'm seriously thinking about taking up my original "Angel of Death" piece again and seeing if I can't work it to completion.

Angels really are the new vampires...just check the YA shelves!

There is also new tech to play with - tomorrow I have to acquire the necessary bungee cords to secure our new flat screen television in place (courtesy of the most awesome sister ever!). I was able to afford a display model of a Netbook, and I got a Kindle as a holiday gift!

Me likey all of it. *g*
